Last month I spend a couple of evenings at a construction site. Between the buildings was a mudflat with some water which is an ideal habitat for Little Ringed Plovers. These plovers are very opportunistic and favour these kinds of habitats.
Sadly because of the long draught the pool has vaporised and therefore the birds are more scattered over the area. When I recently checked after some rainfall there was some mud again and one parent was walking around with a full grown juvenile.
